MFO is a Leipzig based video artist, VJ and music video producer. Starting 2001 with synthetic graphics he fluently developed today's form of his fragmentary, playful approach to work with pictures.
Driven by sound MFO builds visual impressions. His starting material is the real world: greyed architecture, systematically guided human traffic, the pulse of public life - broken down to its elementary building blocks and animated by the use of self-developed software.
MFO has performed at international festivals like Clubtransmediale (Berlin), Paysages Electronique (Lille), Sperm-Festival (Prague), SonneMondSterne, Fusion Festival, c/o Pop (Cologne) and RecMadrid (Madrid). Regularly video shows have been done for Moon Harbour Rec. and Freude-Am-Tanzen Recordings, also for Phantomnoise (MFO accompanied the tour 2003) and Alphacut Records. Since 2004 MFO plays residently at Leipzig's Distillery.

MFO ist ein Leipziger Video-Künstler, VJ und Musik Video Produzent. Aus anfänglich synthetischen Bildern entwickelte er seit 2001 die heutige Form seines fragmentarischen, spielerischen Umgangs mit Bildern.
Inspiriert vom laufenden Sound konstruiert MFO visuelle Impressionen. Sein Ausgangsmaterial ist die Wirklichkeit: angegraute Architektur, planvoll gelenkte Menschenströme, die Verkehrsadern des Lebens - zerlegt in ihre elementarsten Bausteine und animiert mittels selbst geschriebener Software.

MFO spielte auf internationalen Festivals wie Clubtransmediale (Berlin), Paysages Electronique (Lille), Sperm-Festival (Prague), SonneMondSterne, Fusion Festival, c/o Pop (Cologne) und RecMadrid (Madrid). Regelmäßige Videoshows gab und gibt es für das Leipziger Label Moon Harbour Rec., für Freude-Am-Tanzen Recordings aus Jena sowie für Phantomnoise Records (MFO begleitete die Label-Tour 2003) und Alphacut. Seit 2004 ist MFO in der Leipziger Distillery als Resident-VJ tätig.
